Child's Last Will
In conflict zones globally, children are tragically forced to confront their own mortality, a reality no child should ever face. This proactive concept aimed to force international attention and action on this devastating issue by subverting a deeply ingrained societal norm.
Child’s Last Will is the creation of the world's first final will and testament specifically designed for children in conflict-affected regions (e.g., Palestine, Syria, Sudan). This document would serve a dual, harrowing purpose:
A Personal Testament: Allowing children to list the few possessions they wished to pass on, giving them a semblance of agency and dignity in unimaginable circumstances.
A Global Petition: Upon "enactment" (or completion), each will would be sent directly to the United Nations, transforming a private tragedy into a collective, undeniable demand for immediate intervention and change.
Developed in 2024, this concept was presented to NGOs but, due to its sensitive nature, was never produced. I still believe it remains a powerful statement to provoke essential dialogue and drive change.
